All visitors over the age of 16 years and staff must have received a current flu vaccination to enter any TLC residential aged care home to assist in the protection of all TLC residents.
At all times, TLC seeks to ensure the health, welfare and safety of its residents and staff. Given the vulnerable nature of the health of our residents, we require you to provide evidence that you have had a current flu vaccination.
The health sector worldwide has acknowledged the potential effects of the influenza virus on aged care residents can be fatal. The Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) has recommended that those working, visiting and living in residential aged care have a current flu vaccination.
We will continue to seek to protect all TLC residents living in our communities which is why we will not allow any person over the age of 16 years to enter our services without having had a current flu vaccination.
